A Closer Look
Learning through Leadership
All JDG students are eligible for membership in the Delaware Career Association (DCA), a youth organization that enhances classroom instruction with field trips, group activities, and state conferences. Chapter members elect officers, serve on committees, develop and execute a plan of work, participate in skills-based competitions and seek recognition for chapter projects and accomplishments.
Work-Based Learning
JDG’s CORE Internship and Work-based Learning Programs are key in bridging the gap between concepts learned in the classrooms and applications in the field. Each program delivers enhanced experiential learning with the potential for permanent employment or temporary paid work opportunities.
Post-Secondary Follow Up
Our dedicated team of teachers and Student Outreach Coordinators continue to serve students for a minimum of 12 months after graduating high school. During this period, students receive guidance and mentoring to ensure a smooth transition to post-secondary education, training, and/or the workforce.
