You’re Hired! Workforce Success at the JDG Job Fair for High School Students

DOVER, DE – On Tuesday, March 21, Jobs for Delaware Graduates (JDG) and the Greater Dover Boys & Girls Club partnered to host a job fair for youth ages 14 and up. More than 300 Kent County and parents students flooded the Boys & Girls Club for an opportunity to meet employers throughout Dover and surrounding areas.

The event included more than 40 employers, including Walmart, Integrity Test Labs, Builders and Remodelers Association of Delaware, Jamestown Hospitality Group, Futures First Gaming, Integrity Staffing Solutions, Candy Connections, Barbizon Chique, Old Navy, and more!

JDG is also sponsoring ten $250 sign-on bonuses for students who attended the fair, completed a JDG virtual prep session, received a job offer from a participating employer, and provide proof of employment after 30 days on the job.

With many businesses looking to recruit fresh talent in time for the summer, this event was a timely collaboration between two organizations whose missions are rooted in workforce development, youth development, and job placement assistance.
